Steph Auteri is a New Jersey-based writer and editor who has written for the Atlantic, VICE, Pacific Standard, The Establishment, and other publications. She is also the author of A Dirty Word, a reported memoir about the ways in which our culture has co-opted female sexuality.Auteri has been writing about sex for nearly 20 years now and in the past six years, has shifted her focus to sexuality education. She's served as the Senior Writer and Editor for AASECT (the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists), and worked as a volunteer for the Center for Sex Education (CSE). This year, she's on the planning committee for the CSE's annual National Sex Ed Conference. And as the mother of a 6-year-old daughter, she is slightly obsessed with being a sex-positive parent.
