Class Description

Fat folx (especially fat femmes) have probably heard some iteration of the following phrase: "you're too fat to fuck," usually uttered by a cis man after being rejected. Sex becomes stigmatized for fat bodies; we spend so much time internalizing fatphobia and trying to hide and minimize our size, it is very difficult to feel confident in the bedroom (or wherever you may be fucking). If crop tops on fat bods are revolutionary, then being nude with the lights on is a supernova. Not only do we struggle to feel sexy and comfortable in our bodies, but there is also the all-too-common myth of the crushing power of the fat body. This is especially true for femmes, who often express a fear of crushing their partners. Some actually believe that they may in fact be "too fat to fuck." Balderdash! All bodies can fuck, and there is no reason to feel ashamed or embarrassed about your body! This class will address some of the myths surrounding the fat body in regards to sex, talk about things fat bodies can do during sex, (surprise, it's mostly the same stuff that thin bodies can do), and will also promote fat positivity and confidence-building, including: Non-sexual activities to help you get used to your body (think vogueing in front of a mirror while entirely nude), learning to appreciate/value your body through masturbation, not settling for a shitty partner, unpacking our internalized fatphobia through a brief writing assignment, meant to be shared with the class (if comfortable), and more! This class would be best suited for fellow fatties who want to unpack some of their internalized fatphobia. Note: this is a pre-recorded class and will be available after September 15th, 2020.
